An initiative of the Federal Cultural Foundation, from 2017 to 2021 in the project sponsorship of the German Dance Association.
Further information on the continuation of the fund and on current calls for proposals is now available at www.kulturstiftung-des-bundes.de/tanzland.
The program Tanzland - Fonds für Gastspielkooperationen, from 2017 to 2021 under the sponsorship of the German Dance Association, promotes long-term cooperation between dance ensembles and INTHEGA theaters. The funding program will be continued from 2021 to 2026 in further funding rounds under the auspices of the Federal Cultural Foundation.
Thanks to the funding, a permanent program can now be developed for local audiences, inviting them to experience dance live on stage. In addition, mediation offers will be developed and workshops with the ensembles will be initiated, which will help to get to know the work of the companies better. In this way, partnerships are forged that go beyond mere guest performances to create lasting bonds between the ensembles and their audiences. Four of the selected ensembles are firmly anchored at a municipal or state theater, four of them work as independent companies.
Further information on the first funding phase is available at www.tanzland.org(in German only)
