Tanzfilmwoche Bremen

I want to be moved by you

11.-16. Mai 2026 in Bremen  mit Mouvement Perpétuel, Québec

In collaboration with Filmbüro Bremen and the German Dance Film Institute, steptext dance project is presenting a week-long series of dance films and inviting attendees to engage in dialogue. The guests are Mouvement Perpétuel from Québec, whose gripping dance films celebrate cultural diversity and honor the dedication to dance as a form of resilience. The two multi-award-winning dance filmmakers Marlene Millar and Philip Szporer founded Mouvement Perpétuel 25 years ago – reason enough to celebrate dance, its diversity, and the human resilience it fosters through the medium of film in Bremen as well. The Canadians have done pioneering work—and dance film has long since established itself as an art form in its own right at festivals and online. Dance films by filmmakers from Bremen and northern Germany, exchanges, dance film and dance workshops, panel discussions, and screenings of Of Curious Nature round out the program surrounding the films by Mouvementt Perpétuel.

The program also features dance films by filmmakers from Bremen and northern Germany, as well as exchange events, dance film and dance workshops, panel discussions, and screenings of *Of Curious Nature*.
