MyWays&Guests

MyWays&Guests

“Diversity in dance emerges where uniqueness becomes visible—and that is precisely what happens in old age.

In *Present Perfect*, Gabriele Gierz works with the dancers of the MyWays&Guests company, aged 62 to 82, whose bodies bear the marks of decades of decisions, losses, and turning points—they are, in the literal sense, embodied traces of change.

Diversity arises when bodies cannot be made to conform. Life experience is inscribed individually—in gait, timing, presence—and resists any form of uniformity. This is not a limitation, but the material. It is not about keeping up with youth or virtuosity, but about no longer viewing aging as an exception in dance—but rather as the most intense form of change a human body is capable of expressing.

The art of dance, mutual appreciation, and joyful commitment—that is why we dance! #TogetherWeDance”
