“Dance enables direct, non-judgmental encounters. Where words can divide, movement creates connections—regardless of background, perspective, or opinion,”

FolkDanceParty 2.0 is a project spanning several months, culminating in June with the creation of a collaboratively designed dance floor—a celebration in which participating groups, clubs, and communities present their own dances and invite the audience to join in. The focus is on the Common Dance: a dance that we develop together, composed of movements contributed by the various groups.During the rehearsal period with local communities and organizations, there are plenty of opportunities to get to know the project and its participants at dance gatherings and social get-togethers, where you can dance, eat, and socialize together.
