bewegungs-art freiburg

"For World Dance Day, we are presenting excerpts from the work of the 2-year program at bewegungs-art Freiburg. This video brings together different bodies, backgrounds, and qualities of movement—not as opposites, but as a shared practice. 'Diversity is not a category. It is reality.' Our work is based on improvisation and artistic research: We do not view the body as a fixed form, but as constantly evolving knowledge in motion. In the studio, dance emerges in the moment—through listening, reacting, and deciding. Through difference. What becomes visible here is not a finished image, but a process: a space where experiences, influences, and perspectives meet and transform one another. In the 2-year program, we understand dance as an open field: as a place of encounter, friction, and expansion. For us, diversity is not a topic. It is practice."
