LET’S PERFORM ARTISTIC FREEDOM
‘Let's Perform’ is a series organised by the Federal Association of Independent Performing Arts, the German Stage Association and the Dance Germany umbrella organisation.
On 6 October 2025 (4 to 6 p.m. online), we will focus on artistic freedom.
Artistic freedom guarantees the freedom to create, exhibit, perform and distribute art – without state censorship or threat. However, artistic freedom in Germany and many EU countries is under threat as never before. On Monday, 6 October 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m., we, the German Stage Association and the German Dance Association, invite you to a digital discussion on artistic freedom as an important component of an open and democratic society.
LET'S PERFORM ARTISTIC FREEDOM is part of the ‘Let's perform Future’ discourse series, a digital cooperation event organised by the Federal Association of Independent Performing Arts, the German Stage Association and the Dance Association of Germany, which has been dedicated to future topics in the performing arts since 2022 and is designed as an exchange and networking format.
