To support emerging dancers in their transition from training to a professional dance career, the Dachverband Tanz Deutschland (German Dance Association) is organizing a career week from 24-28 October 2022. It includes (dance) practical and theoretical workshops on career planning, working conditions, mental and physical health in dance, and encourages community networking.
The event will be held in English and takes place at Tanzraum Wedding Berlin and partly online (hybrid).
This information and networking event is aimed at graduates who are registered in the funding programmes DIS-TANZ-START and HELP DANCE or who get/got funded in the programme DIS-TANZ-SOLO. Starting 10 October, the events will also be opened to all other dancers who are entering the profession. Since the number of participants is limited, places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration or ticket purchase are possible for the entire week or for individual days.
The free participation for registered dancers and the subsidized participation for dancers in general is made possible by the funding programme DIS-TANZ-START as part of NEUSTART KULTUR, an initiative of the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.
