The German Dance Association is celebrating its 20th anniversary

20 years of the German Dance Association (DTD)—that’s two decades filled with passion, dedication, and shared successes.
Since its founding in 2004, the DTD, together with its members, has established itself as the central platform and cultural-policy voice of the dance scene.

Today, it represents more than 50 institutions and associations. The DTD advocates nationwide for better conditions, funding, strengthening, and visibility for dance. Among its most important initiatives are programs such as TANZPAKT Stadt-Land-Bund and the organization of the German Dance Award.

This anniversary is an opportunity to look back on our achievements and, at the same time, look ahead: In the future, the umbrella organization will continue to advocate for sustainable structures, favorable conditions, and strong support for dance in Germany.
