The German Dance Association, in cooperation with the International Theatre Institute Germany, invites you to the public discussion “Fragile Memory: Cooperation in Times of Crisis” as part of the ENICPA conference. The discussion will focus on how the performing arts can remain visible and be preserved in our collective memory even in times of financial cutbacks and political upheaval.

In two panel discussions artists, researchers and representatives of European institutions will address current challenges in archiving and documentation practices amid multiple crises. While the “Collective Practices” panel will focus on underdocumented art ecosystems and new concepts of collaboration, the second panel, “Transforming Care,” will discuss the current changing circumstances for European archival institutions and possible strategies based on solidarity for continuing archival practice.
