Dance is everythere – Dance and inclusion

The Global Disability Summit met in Berlin and described in its declaration the vision that all people with disabilities should be able to exercise their civil, political, social, economic and cultural rights! In dance, this means not only experiencing dance and participating in culture, but also shaping culture.

The Global Disability Summit met in Berlin and in its declaration describes the vision that all people with disabilities can exercise their civil, political, social, economic and cultural rights! In dance, this means not only experiencing dance and participating in culture, but also shaping culture.

Dance thrives on the diversity of bodies. Dancers with disabilities simply have other ways of expressing themselves. They do not follow the norm, they create the other, they enrich our world, our thinking and feeling. The wonderful institutions that are driving this forward include our members tanzbar bremen and Szene Zwei, the Tanzpakt projects of DinA13, Forward dance Company and Making a Difference. Opening up dance courses to people with disabilities and dance as a paid career are two of the most important concerns.

Dance is everythere, dance is for all.
