The company presents its project "Bird Dances", a three-part choreographic work about the migration of birds and people. The project was created in an intensive collaborative process of bird watching and the development of new social dances, initially in the largely rural region of Uecker-Randow in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
"Our Heritage" is a cross-generational and cross-national project that deals with the memories and effects of National Socialism. The artistic work focuses on the body as a storehouse of memories, as a carrier of one's own identity, as a malleable means of expression and the dialog between the generations about today and yesterday. This project will be presented to the public during the Day of Action.
The dance video "standing here with you" commemorates the murder of 10 Baháʼí women over 40 years ago in Shiraz, Iran. It is a solidarity project for the feminist revolution in Iran, created with a group of 22 women from different cultural backgrounds. It is about using dance to create a space in which anger, grief and fear can be expressed.
The contribution of the professional mixed-abled FORWARD DANCE COMPANY (FDC) to the day of action will be a hybrid performance and lecture. It will first aim to create a kinaesthetic-empathic experience and then open up a space for dialog - a conversation about dance and democracy. The FDC has diversity in its DNA. Its special composition invites reflection and serves as a mirror of a utopia of our society.
Global Water Dances is a worldwide artistic initiative launched in 2010. GWD connects and supports a global community of actors who use the universal language of dance to inspire action and international collaboration on water and climate change. The project is introduced to the audience via a short verbal introduction and video clips as well as a dance-along activity.
Increasing tensions and polarization are clearly noticeable in many areas of society. "Anti-Loud" explores how movement and artistic work can promote personal interactions and create understanding for each other in conflicts. The results of the current research will be presented in a presentation.
The dance film brings together older residents from rural Bavaria and contemporary international artists from over five countries. The film shows how dance can bring generations together, bridge cultural differences and promote social cohesion. There will be a question and answer session with the audience afterwards.

With their " Joy(s) of life" project, the Parzival School (Waldorf special school) and the Freie Waldorfschule in Aachen bring pupils with and without special needs together on an equal footing by using the medium of dance to overcome barriers. On the day of action, there will be an insight into their work and the Tanz Station - Barmer Bahnhof and CoWerk 18.
UNIT is a walk-in box that invites the audience to experience movement and dance in a playful and intuitive way. They enter the box equipped with VR glasses and sensors that detect every physical movement. Guided by text modules, visitors immerse themselves sensually in a completely new world of experience within various scenarios. It is a virtual-interactive dance experience space in 8 languages.
The "We move school" project brings movement and fun into the classroom and promotes social cohesion. The project combines dance events with social training to counteract bullying and exclusion and boost pupils' self-confidence. Dance not only promotes a sense of community, but also compensates for a lack of exercise. The project will be presented during the Day of Action.
The collective would like to present excerpts from their research process on linear and non-linear ways of communication that relate to how hierarchical structures are shaped in our society.
