The project supports meetings and dialogue at the international dance fair nrw, Düsseldorf 2022, and
CINARS, conference and festival Montreal 2022
Current note: Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this project has been postponed from 2020 to 2022 and will be conceptually revised.
For the year 2022, Dachverband Tanz Deutschland wants to launch a pilot project for a joint presence of dance from Germany for the first time, on the one hand at the international tanzmesse nrw in August 2022 and at CINARS in Montreal/Canada in November 2022.
The idea is not to have the usual booth, but rather a presentation and meeting space (dialogue space) where artists and other professionals can talk about artistic and social issues and engage in creative processes.
A current section of the dance scene in Germany, with new productions, established as well as emerging artists and fresh ideas: Dance Update Germany!
The concept will be developed together with networks, associations and initiatives that already present their regional artists and companies, for example at the international dance fair nrw, such as the nrw landesbuero tanz and the TanzSzene Baden-Württemberg.
In cooperation with the regional dance networks and dance offices in Germany, the German Dance Association (Dachverband Tanz Deutschland) will be present at the tanzmesse nrw 2022 with an exhibition area. This will provide the opportunity to represent artists and enable them to apply for the program of the tanzmesse nrw 2022.
We invite artists producing in Germany to take advantage of this opportunity and submit a proposal for the tanzmesse nrw 2022 via Dachverband Tanz Deutschland. We especially want to address artists and companies who already have guest performance experiences and productions available whick could go on tour in 2022.
Deadline for submission is November 15, 2021!
Please find the detailed Call for Proposals here (in German). If you have any questions please contact one of the many regional dance networks that colaborate with Dachverband Tanz Deutschland in this project or contact us directly. Thank you!
